Today Sony Ericsson officially announced its three new mobile phones. These devices are Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, Sony Ericsson Yendo and Sony Ericsson Cedar.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is smartphone powered by Google’s Android 1.6 operating system with special UI. This high-end device supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS/HSPA 900/2100 MHz networks and is equipped with 600 MHz processor, 3 inch capacitive touchscreen with 320×480px resolution, 3.2 Mp camera, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm headphones jack, accelerometer, Wi-Fi, 1200 mAh battery, MicroSD external memory card slot. The dimensions of this smartphone are 99×54x15mm, the weight is 104g. Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 will be launched in the third quarter of 2010. It is expected that it will cost about EUR260.

In contrast to the X8 Sony Ericsson Yendo doesn’t belong to smartphones class, but has the same user interface. According to SE this device is the first Walkman series touchphone combining communication, musical and social features. It is known that this phone has 2.6 inch touch screen with 240×320px resolution, 2 Mp camera, Bluetooth with A2DP, FM radio, 3.5mm headphones jack, 5 Mb built-in storage, MicroSD additional memory card slot. The Yendo measures 93.5×52x15.8mm and weighs 81g. The battery of this phone provides about 3.5 hour of talk time or 312 hours of idle. Sony Ericsson Yendo will be also released in the third quarter of this year. Available colors will be black, blue, green, orange, pink, red, silver, white, yellow, and purple.

Sony Ericsson Cedar belongs to GreenHeart series - it is made of recycled materials. The list of specification of this budget class device includes third generation networks support, 2.2 inch display, 2 Mp camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headphones jack, MicroSD external memory card slot. Another feature of this eco-friendly device is impressive work time – the battery of this phone provides 12 hours of talk time in GSM networks and 5 hours of talk time in 3G ones. The release of Sony Ericsson Cedar will take place in next few weeks.
