Nokia N8: the first Symbian^3 based smartphone

Today Nokia officially announced its new flagship smartphone. Nokia N8 is the first device running on Symbian^3 operating system. The main features of this mobile device is 3.5 inch OLED multi-touch capable screen with 640×360px resolution, 680 MHz processor, 12 Mp camera with Carl Zeiss optics, xenon flash and 20x digital zoom. Other specifications of this coming smartphone are 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, 16 Gb internal storage, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 32 Gb), 3.5mm headphones jack, HDMI port, and FM tuner.
Besides Nokia N8 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, accelerometer, motion sensor. Supported networks standards are GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and WCDMA (850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz). The battery of this high-end device has 1200 mAh capacity and provides about 12 hours of talk time in GSM networks and 5 hours in 3G ones. The dimensions of this phone are 113.5х59×12.9mm, the weight is 135g. Nokia N8 will become available in Europe in the third quarter of 2010 and will cost EUR370. Together with official announce Nokia also shared some videos demonstrating some features of new Symbian^3 operating system.
