Research In Motion (RIM) has just officially announced its new smartphone – BlackBerry Bold 9700 which is upgraded version of Bold 9000. This device has classic shape factor, horizontal screen and full QWERTY keyboard. In contrast to its predecessor has more compact case but the screen has the same diagonal (2.4 inch) and resolution (480×360 pixels). As for other technical characteristics BlackBerry Bold 9700 is equips with 624 MHz CPU, 3.2 Mp camera with autofocus and flash, 256 Mb memory, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP/AVCRP, GPS, optic trackpad, 3.5 mm audio jack and 1500 mAh battery. This coming smartphone measures 109×60x14 mm. and weights 122g. The operating system is BlackBerry OS 5.0. BlackBerry Bold 9700 will become available in T-Mobile and AT&T mobile operators’ shops in next few weeks and will cost $200 with two-year contract.
